Arlington Masonic Lodge #438 Rules and Regulations

Preface: The rules and regulations of Arlington Masonic Lodge # 438, presented herewith, shall be in accordance with the Constitution, Resolutions, and Edicts of the Grand Lodge of Texas, as well as, the approved By-Laws of Arlington Masonic Lodge # 438.  The Rules and Regulations of Arlington Masonic Lodge # 438 do not duplicate, nor modify, the By-Laws of said Lodge and therefore do not require the approval of the Grand Lodge of Texas before becoming effective.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The Worshipful Master may appoint such committees as he may deem necessary to carry out the various activities of the Lodge.
  1. The Budget Committee should consist of the 5 principal officers of the Lodge; Worshipful Master, Senior and Junior Wardens, Secretary and Treasurer; and present the annual budget for approval of the Lodge at the Stated Meeting in July.  The budget may be held over until the next Stated Meeting if modifications are needed.
  1. The Treasurer shall pay all “budgeted” items as they become due against the budget.  Once a budget line-item has been exceeded the Treasurer must bring the item/s before the lodge, at Stated Meetings, for a vote and approval.
  1. The Worshipful Master may require non-budgeted items to be reviewed by the Finance Committee and have their findings be presented at the next Stated Meeting for a recommendation, then voted upon and, if approved, shall remain outside of the budget.
  1. Arlington Lodge # 438 shall conform with the Constitutions, Resolutions, and Edicts of the Grand Lodge of Texas regarding the carrying of firearms on Lodge property, within the Lodge Building and/or in the Lodge Room.  The brothers are requested to conceal their firearms while in the Lodge building or Lodge Room.  Uniformed Peace Officers are exempt from this rule.
  1. Arlington Lodge # 438 has approved the consumption of alcoholic beverages in accordance with Art. 224c(2) of the Laws of the Grand Lodge of Texas.  Alcoholic beverages will not be stored overnight on the property, or in the Lodge building.
  1. The Members of Arlington Lodge # 438 shall, at the annual Election of Officers, elect members to the Arlington Masonic Benevolence Foundation (AMBF) Board as required by the AMBF By-Laws.

Postscript:  Any additions, deletions, or modifications to these Rules and Regulations shall be made in writing, presented at a Stated Meeting and if approved they are made effective immediately.
